Hi there,

My Laptop Hard Drive got affected due to Virus, so I thought I’ll format my drive and formatted the whole hard drive. Upon this I also created new partitions, due to which I lost lot of digital images, mostly .jpeg files.

Is there any way to recover those images?

Please Help!

Hi Paco,

I would like you to answer few questions,

What was the file system before and after formatting the drive?
Since you have repartitioned the drive, may I know the old partition size and the new partition size?
I hope you haven’t installed or saved any other data on to the drive from where you have lost your data. As then further attempts would not be able to recover any data.

Thanks for getting back. Here are my answers for your questions:

The file system was NTFS before and after formatting the drive.
I am extremely sorry for giving you the wrong information, I had just formatted my drive and I have not resized the drives.
I saved the some documents to the same partition because it is the only drive I have in my computer currently.
