Hi all,

I am using 2nd hand XL1 which was working very well but now I am facing some problem with it. What actually happens is while recording the tape rewinds at half speed with the playback visible in the EVF. This goes on for few seconds and comes back to normal. Now the frequency has increased and recording has become much impossible. Removing and re-inserting the tape temporarily helps.

I am out of ideas, if anyone knows the solution for this I would be glad to hear.

Hi Alien,

It sounds like the main PCB is damaged, due to some corrosion.

Do not run any repair personally as this further damage the tape drive.

You need to consult any good repair services; they will sort out everything very easily. Choose repair services that offer reliable services at reasonable price.
