Hi Everyone,

I am using a 4mm DDS Data Tape. Please, tell me when and how I should clean my DDS Tape Drive.

How long will it take to clean a tape drive?

Clifford.

Hello clifford,

A tape drive indicates cleaning required by flashing its Status Indicator. The tape indicator will remain ON and the status indicator will flash in every half second.

Please use an approved 4mm DDS cleaning cartridge to clean your DSS tape drive.

A single cleaning process will take between 7 - 11 seconds. If the cleaning process takes less than 7 seconds, then your tape is not properly cleaned. Reattempt the cleaning process.

All the best!!!

Salvager.
