Hi,

I recently installed dual Xeon processors using V-class mother board and Windows XP Pro. I used Maxtor 133MHz ATA hard drive which works very well. I want to install four SATA drives but currently there are four SATA drives plugged in and the ATA drive which is parallel cabled drive. System is recognizing only two SATA drives and the ATA Maxtor. My system is not booting now.

So my question is Do the SATA drive have to be installed in pairs to work as a RAID?

Any suggestions would be greatly accepted.
