I have a RAID 1, mirrored set without parity consisting of 2 SATA hard drive. The RAID setup is just 6 months old, but are drive are in use from more than a year. Some strange noises are coming from it now and I am not able to see any of the drives. I guess the drives are failing. I can't imagine of losing data from these drive.

Any suggestions please...

Hi femi,

Strange noise coming from RAID or a hard drive indicates that it has experienced a mechanical fault. Don't mess with the RAID drives yourself. I suggest you to contact professional RAID Recovery Services, who has experience in recovering data from such situations.

You can ask them for a free evaluation of the media and then can view the details on the chances of recovery once you receive the analysis report from them.

Salvager.

Thanks dude, for such a quick reply. One of my friend also suggested me RAID Services. Thanks again for your explicit suggestions.
