Hi,

I lost over 50 pages of my Word document I was working on. I have not deleted it but don’t know what went wrong and it is not there. It’s not found in the Recycle Bin as well. Now, I didn't use the PC after that file was lost, so I guess there was a slight chance I could find it.
It turned out, that this is not as easy as it seemed: I tried several recovery programs, many of them found that document (different sizes though), but it was either corrupted, coded (some boxes appeared instead of letters) or transformed into *TMP files. Any idea how could I get the right *.DOC format back or which tool to use to successfully discover/recover missing file?

Any suggestions...

Hi,

Relax Sarina; I can understand your problem, as even I have come across the same situation. In that stage Data recovery Software saved my life.

I would recommend you to use the same File Recovery Software which I have experienced with and try recovering your lost data. In this software you just need to select the required file type you are looking to recover and scan the drive. Then the software searches only for the selected file type and would display the result.

But let me tell you, if your .doc files have got overwritten by any read/write operation, then chances are feeble. In any case you give a try with the software and let me know the results.
