Hi friends,

Occasionally I face problem with my SATA RAID. Very often one of the 2 drives will come up as FAILED during the RAID check. Sometimes CNTL+ALT+DEL and a reboot will allow the BIOS to identify the drive and a quick run through the RAID utility will allow the RAID to be reset and it runs fine. All the cables are firmly connected.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Barden,

Since the drive is failing during the boot, you can do the following:

1.If different drives fail repeatedly during the RAID check, then you may have a faulty drive. The solution is very simple replace the faulty drive with a new one.
2.After the drive replacement if the problem still persists, it would be wise to contact a data recovery company to fix your RAID problem.
