Hi All,

My RAID drive damaged and now is giving me the message as “File record segment is unreadable”. What does this mean? I have RAID 1 with 2 80GB hard drives.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Data may be corrupt, or the drive might be damaged in that area, bad sector, I believe. Since its RAID 1 your data is still intact on the other drive. I would suggest you to immediately take a backup of the other drive for the cause of your important data.

I just wanted to know, why is this error message poping-up, everytime I access the drive. Thanks for the info Salvager .
