Hi all,

I had planned to purchase internal HD but later came to know about RAID. I have some questions on RAID hope somebody solves it.

1. What are the uses of RAID?                                                                                      

2. Which is better hardware RAID or a software RAID?

3. Can I use a software RAID solution with hard drives in external enclosures?

4. Should Raid’s be identical to each other?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
