Hi,

I am having an Exabyte tape drive running on Red Hat 9. I am having a problem writing large files to tape, however the small files can be easily written.

My friend told me about a way of setting block sizes, but I am not able to find the way to get this going.

Can anyone suggest me a solution for this?

Hi Acton,

Firstly, let me know the capacity of your tape drive.

And what is the size of the large file you are trying to write to the tape?

Do you get any error messages after the writing operation fails? If so, what is the error message?

Salvager.
