Hi All,

I am a student, working on a project jointly with my friend. We have a DAT tape drive on which we regularly backup the project data. Now, we are having problems reading the label of the backup during the restore operation.

Actually, the tape reads the label, but it takes a long time appearing that it may not work at all. This is very frustrating to wait for hours together and gradually slows down the project work.

Please help, it’s very urgent!!!!!

Hello Dyami!

Chances are that your DAT tape drive has been worn out.

The DAT media should be replaced as the media error arises.

You need help from a Professional Data Recovery service, they generally have access to devices and help you from this.

Salvager.
