Hi all,

Well my ASUS A8V Deluxe rev1.2 Motherboard died. I had RAID 0 Setup on two 120GB Seagate Baracudas. The mobo will be replaced, the problem is I had 3 Partitions with: C: being system partition and nothing else, D: for all software installations and games, and E: as a dump partition for personal files/documents, installation programs and everything else. How would I re-use my existing RAID setup on my HD's cause, data on the drives was never corrupted or touched?  I believe that partitions that I have set up before on this RAID 0 setup are still there. Now if I get same Mobo and plug in these disks on the same VIA controller, will it work and boot up the system? And if this is NOT going to work, then what would be the best way to recover data from these HD's.

Hello Yancy,

I think it will work fine using the same board. But, you have to know the positions of the drives in RAID. Which one was on what channel. If not, you will lose data creating the RAID with those drives. Use empty drives to setup the RAID and then attach your drives.

Contacting RAID Recovery Services, is the only solution for your problem now. You need to send the drives to Data Recovery Services Company and ask them for a free evaluation of the media and know the chances of recovery after completion the evaluation.
