Please help me gout from this problem. Recently I was clearing out some junk from my Laptop hard drive. Since then, whenever I try to download anything that requires RealPlayer, I get an error message that says "plugin did not initialize properly". I guess I have fortuitously deleted the "Object" that contained an important component for the Real Player plugin. Any suggestions are greatly welcome.

Laurel.

Hi Laurel,

Find all the components related with Real Player in your C drive and delete them.

Then reinstall the Real Player, you may also install its new version like RealOne.

Hope this solves your problem...!

Hi Laurel,

Is you problem solved? I have something to share regarding this. I had done a same mistake of deleting important files while clearing the junk. And I had to run Deleted Data Recovery Software to recovery the files I accidentally deleted. They were just the .xls files but contained info about salary payments to my employees. Now, I have a recovery software with me that really helped me, but cannot forget that I had to pay for it because of my small mistake of hitting Shift+Del .

I would personally suggest all computer users to always give a second thought  before deleting files then, repenting in future. And most importantly regular BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP of all the important files.

Hope this helps all those who read ....
