have small doubt .I read about RAID arrays but no where it is said that the
drives have to be identical or that they have to be the same size. Is it
necessary that Raid Drives should be of same model and size?

Hi Fiona,
RAID is usually
implemented with identically sized disk drives, but not necessarily. You can
install RAID with hard disks of different sizes or model. However, the total
capacity of the RAID depends on the RAID level installed (RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and
so on…). Hope you got what you wanted to know…..!
