Hello,

I have been messing around with some problem from one week but no solution is found. Freshly I have installed debian sarge on RAID1 array which was consisting of two hard disks and was working fine. Now I have four separate hard disks and want to use them in RAID 5 array. Can you please help me with that?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Barton,

You have not given any information about the hard drives capacity you are using on your RAID 1 level at present. Let me also know what is the capacity of the hard drives you want to add further?

Hello!!!!

The RAID 1 has 2 hard drives of 40GB each. The other two hard drives are of 20GB and 80GB. Please suggest me further for RAID 5 installation.

Barton...!
