Hi,

I had a hard drive which I used in a USB enclosure. It was a new 400GB Hard drive. I guess this drive didn’t get enough ventilation or cooling, so it won’t work anymore.

This failure is caused by possible overheating.

Please HELP! It apparently has important documents and pictures of great sentimental value.

Hi Lawrence,

May I know whether the drive is getting recognized by your system?

No, the drive is not getting detected by BIOS. It is also making some sort of noise, might be a clicking sound.

Well, that seems to be a mechanical failure. If the drive was recognized by BIOS then you could have used any software for the recovery purpose. Since that’s not the case, I would suggest you to go for a Data Recovery Services.

Don’t Panic, Lawrence. Though it is a mechanical failure, data can be recovered provided you choose a Professional Data Recovery Services.

Thanks for your suggestion, Aiyana.

I don’t want to loose my data at any cost. As said by you, ill search for the services that have experienced technicians who are capable enough to recover my data. I have one lab near to my place and have also heard about their services from my friends. I’ll take my drive to them.

Thanks a lot…
