Hi All,
I was trying to install Fedora Core 5 on my 250GB hard disk. The hard disk has dual boot with WinXP. This is what I did during the installation process:
1. On the partition and drive selection page, I selected “Remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout”. 2. Then selected “Remove all Linux partitions on selected drives and create default layout” 3. Then I clicked Next and see some data about the partitions size.
It was only after seeing some data about the partition sizes I realized something has gone wrong. I then restarted the system and tried booting it into WinXP and there is nothing. All my data is vanished.
Is there any way I can recovery my partitions to get my data back?
Thanks!

Hi Monalisa…
I wonder if there is a bug in the Fedora Core Installer that just wipes the partitions without user confirmation.
You can try a partition recovery utility to get your old partition back.
Until then do not write anything to the hard drive, as this may overwrite the traces of data lost.
All the best...
Salvager.
