My 1 TB portable hard disk is not working since last Tuesday and it makes ticking noise. the drive is not getting detected by BIOS.

Is there any way to fix this dead? I have all my works in the hard disk and i cant lose them at any cost

Well, it looks like your 1TB Hard Disk is physically corrupt. You can consult data recovery experts as consulting doesn't cost at all. I hope the links can help you know more about data recovery of your type and the company i am suggesting you.

If there is nothing wrong with the storage space device but the files are inaccessible, then next point of failure can be caused by errors within the file system. All storage devices need a system of organizing and mapping out the stored files. When this file system information is corrupted, the data may still physically reside on the device, yet the ‘pointers’ or ‘map’ to the files requires repair to make the connection from file name to the file data.
