Hi,
What is the likelihood of retrieving data from a laptop drive that experienced some light rain exposure while in a bag a year ago?
Exactly what happened was, my laptop was in a bag pack on my back and under in an umbrella. I had to walk a short distance in the rain. When I pulled the laptop out of the bag, there was moisture running along the back side of the laptop.
I turned the machine on and kept freezing and would not complete the boot-up process. At one point I was able to get it on in safe mode. But then it would not boot again.
I had the Hard Drive replaced, but saved the original. That is basically it.
Hey! Forgot, it was making grinding noise at the time.
