Hi,

Me and my friend video taped an event using a Maxell DVD-R and when we went to go look at the tape recorder, the screen read "disc error, press ok to repair disc" so we did.  Nothing ever showed up. 

I consulted a local computer services, and one of the technician over there said that disc repair means erase the disc to start over which we absolutely did not want, but someone else told us it didn’t mean that and that there was a strip on the back that should still contain the event. 

Will I be able to recover my videos?
