Hi Femi, 

I would like you to answer few questions,  

1. What was the file system before and after formatting the drive?
2. Have you resized the drives? If yes, then what were the old and new sizes?
3. I hope you haven’t saved any more data on to the same partition from where you have lost your data. As then further attempts would not be able to recover any data.

Aiyana, here are my answers to your questions

1.      The drive was formatted from FAT32 to NTFS.

2.      No, the drives are not resized; they are the same even after formatting.

3.      That’s the best thing I have done ever, I have not saved any data on to the partition, as I new it would overwrite the data which I am looking to recover.

Hi,

Great! Chances of recovery are more since you haven’t saved anymore data on to this drive.

As you have formatted the drive from FAT32 to NTFS and looking to recover data from FAT32 partition, FAT Data Recovery Software would serve your purpose. Install the software on to another drive and connect this drive as slave to that machine and then continue with the recovery process. Also make sure you won’t save the recovered data on to the same partition/drive from where you have lost your data.
