Hi friends,

I have a 120 GB Hard Drive having two partitions in it. One is of 40 GB and the other of 80 GB. I have accidentally deleted an 80 GB partition... The partition removal has basically deleted all the data on this disk. But I did NOT format the drive yet.

Please let me know is there any software that will help me to save the files that I have lost on this disk.

Hi Steven,

I would like you to answer few questions,

  1. Are you trying to recover data from whole drive or only from the deleted partition (80 GB) partition? Is the data on the other partition (40 GB) intact?
  2. What was the file system on the deleted partition?
  3. I hope you haven’t saved any more data on to the same partition from where you have lost your data. As then further attempts would not be able to recover any data.
  4. What is the Operating System installed on your drive?

Sorry for the confusion. I have lost data from my 80GB partition, which is D:\ drive having NTFS file system in it. The other 40GB is my C:\ drive having FAT32 file system. Windows XP is the operating system which I have on my system.

Please suggest me further!
