Hello,

 

I have a 160GB Samsung Hard Drive. This is my secondary drive and I have all my official documents in it. As a usual routine, I plugged the hard drive into a USB 5.0 to IDE cable to access my files. The moment I powered on my PC, the drive started to smoke and I quickly unplugged it.

 

Please suggest me a way to recover my data.

I would strongly recommend you to stop using your drive as it may lead to permanent data loss.

Your problem seems to be physical problem, I would suggest you to opt for an professional data recovery services to recover your data, who have experienced technicians in recoverin your data in such physical cases and your data is safely recovered.

I recommend you to go fo Data Recovery Services who are professional in recovering data from such physical cases.
