Hello!!
I have a 40 GB Maxtor diamondmax plus, its IDE ATA/133 disk. The hard disk died gradually. I had this similar problem earlier but I was able to see the disk after a few reboots.
Now, I guess my hard disk is completely dead. The disk seems to start spinning normally, and the head seems to move without clicking; the machine recognizes that there is a disk, but cannot really identify it properly...
I tried rebooting several times but no joy. So I wanted to find out if there is anything I could do to recover my data...
Justin.

Hi Justin,
Try using your hard drive as a slave in another system.
If the data is still inaccessible then, your hard drive is dead.
You need to consult a professional data recovery service; they will recover your data easily. You can also use a disk recovery utility to personally recover your data.

Hello...
Trying my hard drive in another system is waste of time, because it is completely dead. Now, I am looking for a way to recover my data from professional Data Recovery Company.
Can you suggest me a good Data Recovery Company that i can trust....
Thanks in advance.
