Hi All,
I have a Maxtor hard drive with NTFS. I was copying files from a corrupted windows installation onto an external drive. Everything was going great, after some time the copy process stopped while I was trying to copy some of my outlook .pst files.
However the copy process was 75% done. For now I can’t see the files on the original hard drive. Is it gone?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kara,
Before suggesting you anything I would like to know some details regarding your issue.
What Command did you use to copy?
Did you have write permissions to the external drive?
Can you take the non-booting hard drive and put it in your hard drive enclosure to read it as external on another windows machine?
