Hi everyone,

I very recently purchased a new system of Intel Pentium and installed RAID1.Today it got corrupted and giving the messages as FAILED hard drive. I disconnected the cable of hard drive, shut down and then restarted it. Again it is giving the message as MISSING hard drive. I tried many a times but of no use. Can anybody please help me out it is very important.

Hi Allan,

A missing drive reference may indicate that the drive has failed or that the signal or power cables have come loose. Since you have mentioned you have unplugged and cables of the hard drive and restarted it and still the problems persists. It is clear that your hard drive has gone bad.

Firstly, stop restarting your system again and again as this may further damage the hard drive. You can consult a hardware company regarding hard drive repairing or the better solution is to replace the bad hard drive with a new one…. Hope this provides solution to your problem...!
