Hello Friends,

I have a Seagate external hard drive and unfortunately I hooked it up to my new iMac and now the problem is, my Mac is unable to identify my Seagate, It shows up in the system profiler, but there is no icon on my desktop where I can open it. When I plug up the Seagate back into my PC, it shows up as empty, with no data, and asks if I want to format it.

Please friends suggest me whether all my data is lost? Is there any way to recover it?? I have many important documents on my Hard Drive...Pls help me out from this problem. Any suggestions are well come..

Larry...

Hello Larry,

It seems that your disk has formatted with a Windows format, Windows data recovery software will help you get back your data.

If the files are of critical importance to you, I would suggest you to take your drive to a Professional data recovery service.
