Hello Everyone,
If anyone have faced or know anything regarding the issue I am facing, Please help me figure this out!!!!
I have a DSS tape drive connected to a 166 MHz UDB. I can read and write data perfectly from the tape. But the only problem is after I run the backup I get messages like:
tar: Cannot write to /dev/tape: Input/output error tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
I really don’t know what is going wrong behind the scene. Is the problem with the tape drive or anything else?
Please provide me a way to get out of this error!!!!
Micheal.
