Hello!
I have a Seagate AIT tape drive which was working pretty well.
It is normally recognized by the BIOS and Linux. When I try to write some thing to the drive I get an error stating: "Kernel server Died".
I really don’t know what happen suddenly. I am able to read the data from the tape but not able to write anything to it. I have tried writing the data to the tape several times, but the task ends with the same result.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Lawrence,
Tape fill up when you put too much data on them and gives the error message you have got.
You need to clear some data from it and your tape will work normally.
Hope this solves your problem.
Salvager.
