Hi Friends,

I accidentally deleted a folder in my Laptop (not using Shift+Del) and later realized that it was a very important folder in which I had stored many important documents, salary details, etc. I went to the Recycle Bin but found nothing and I was totally shocked. I tried some more deleting and the results were the same.Is anything wrong with my Recycle Bin?Can I get my folder back from anywhere?Any clues or pointers for what could be the problem or possible solution?

Bruce.

Hi Bruce!

You must have check marked against “Do not move files to the recycle bin, remove files immediately when deleted”

Right click on the Recycle Bin and check the properties to disable immediate deleting.

Regarding your deleted data, a recovery utility may help you to easily recover your deleted folder.

However, the recovery chances depend on the usage of disk space used after data deletion.

Try Instant File Recovery Software. You can use the demo version to see whether the software is able to recover your files or not, if you can see the preview of your files then you can go for the full version

Whatever the software, though, a potent point to remember is that when you download the program it is best saved on a disk other than the one you hope to recover data from or you could be permanently erasing otherwise recoverable data.

All the best.
