Hello Everyone!

I have 2 80 GB SATA hard drives, which I have formatted it to be identified as a single drive of 160GB. The hard drive is dead, and now I need to recover files from both the drives and copy them to a new drive.

Until now, the problem seems to be very simple. But it is not so. Most of my files contain fragments that are on both the drives and need software that will work on both the drives at a time to recover the necessary files.

I have tried many utilities, but they fail because they seem to be able to work on one drive at a time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Karly,

What you have described sounds like a Striped RAID.

I suggest you search for raid data recovery software.

Thanks for your suggestion. Do you have any idea on what basis should I select the software. Are there any chances of getting my data back?

I want some more details regarding this. Please help me. I am waiting for your reply.
