IS it possible to recover a data after it has been formatted? I have asked my friend and he says it not possible....is there any way or i should give up?

Its possible to recover data even after it has been formatted but the possibility is low and the cost are high. I don't think software can do this for you so its better if you consult a data recovery company... a professional data recovery company can do this

Hello Aparna,

The word used by you is crashed ? is it a physical harddisk damage or is the harddisk corrupted.

If the harddisk is corrupted yes its possible to recover the data using a data recovery software.

But if the harddisk is burnt out/ physical problem that is not getting detected then you will need help of some professional person to get the data recovered.

What is the Operating system on your Desktop.

How did it crash

Hi,
That's the possible to recover data from formatted disk....!
I have a system boot disk with utilities that has such an unformat program on it and has worked well, the few times I've needed it.
