Hi All,

I had a rewritable CD, with allot of important data. Last week I was trying to add some more stuff to it. I use Nero Software to burn the CDs. I was doing just I usually do. The burning process was almost done, then a strange scratching sound started and the Nero Software said burning failed.

I then removed my CD from the drive, and re-entered it to check the rest data. Hash!! All my data is gone. The CD is totally blank now. I have tried accessing the CD on my friends system, but I end up with the same result of “NO DATA”. I really don't know what do I do!!!

Please help me get my data back.

Jacob.

It is very difficult to say what might be the cause for this. Did you get any warning message before the burning process actually started?

Now, the data is gone, the solution for your problem will be to use a CD data recovery software or seek help from a professional data recovery service.

Please don’t try to write anything to the CD as this may further lead to permanent data loss.
