Hello,

A few months ago my laptop hard drive crashed, later my hard drive was reformatted and the operating system was promoted from Windows Me to Windows XP. When I tried to restore my data, I found that Win Backup could not open the disk, but luckily I had my data backup on to CD RW. There were few of my documents and e-mails which were accidentally deleted before I could backup the data.

Please anyone suggest data recovery software that is reasonably simple but effective. I would be satisfied even if I can only recover my e-mail, desktop folders, and important documents.

Software would work for your case. I would like to have some more details regarding the problem you are facing,

What was the file system on the drive?

Have you saved anymore data or performed any other operation on the same location after deleting. And what was the email client you used, whether Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook?
