FDISK is a DOS or Windows utility used to configure and partition the
hard drives for the operating system's use. It is a disk-partitioning
program used to create master boot record and allocated partitions for
the operating system.
FDISK can display, delete and create partitions and logical drives of
the hard disk. FDISK are the partition table manipulators and is used
to divide the hard disk into one or more logical disks called partitions.
Apart from partitioning a new hard drive, FDISK is also used to repartition
the drive for some future changes.
