Recovery Glossary > ECC
ECC is the acronym of Error Correction Code and is used to detect and
correct errors that arise during data transmission. ECC is a mathematical
algorithm skilled with the aid to check bits added to the raw data. It
is used to detect the errors caused due to isolate hardware failure.
With its great features, ECC has raised the reliability of telecommunications
and computing systems. ECC include the incorporation of extra parity bits
in transmitted data to detect errors that can be rectified by the controller.
ECC helps to test the accuracy of data both in and out memory.
