Cracker is a person who breaks into a computer system, figures out ways to bypass the security or license protection in software and intentionally breaches computer security. Crackers basically aim to gain illegal access to a computer system.

Cracker is however not similar to Hacker. They break security on an Automated Information System. Crackers are spiteful individuals who intend to illegally break into the infiltrate computer networks and systems.
