CD-R is an acronym of Compact Disc-Recordable. It is a thin disc made
of polycarbonate with a 120 mm or 80 mm diameter that is mainly used to
store music or data. CD-R media can be written to and erased approximately
1,000 times before failure.
CD capacity of CD-R media is measured in minutes as well as data capacity.
There are basically two main CD capacities: 74 min (650MB), and 80 min
(700MB).
