Hello Everyone!

Please help me I don’t want to lose my data.

Here’s my problem: My windows hard drive crashed. So I took it out and installed a new hard drive. I formatted the new drive with Windows on one partition and Linux on the other partition. My old drives holds valuable data, I put is onto the external USB box.

For now, the old drive is not recognized by the Windows, but Linux recognizes it. Linux cannot access the drive. I also get MFT errors.

Can anyone out there suggest me a reliable disk recovery utility that would recover my files?

Hi Elmas…

Can you please elaborate your problem? Also, please state the MFT errors you are getting.

This will help us to analyze what exactly the problem is and suggest you something that will actually work out.

I suggest you not to run any repairs personally as this may lead permanent data loss situation.

Salvager.

Hi Salvager,

Thanks for the reply. Let me clear my Problem. Even though my old drive is not recognized by the windows, but it recognized by the Linux and Linux cannot access the files. But the problem is with MFT errors. You asked about MFT errors, let me tell you that I keep getting the MFT corrupt file error.

I hope, now my problem is clear for you. My problem was so bad I could not do anything with my drive.

Can you give me any Solutions!!!!!
