Hello Everyone,

I have a Maxtor hard drive that crashed recently. Now, the problem is, I did not backup the data even when the warning sign appeared. I installed a replacement drive, and when I try to mount the old one, it says something about it "not being a directory".

I really don’t know what that mean. Is my data completely gone?

Any suggestions and ideas Please…

Hi Dino !

Dont despair... you can get back your data. You can try a disk recovery software.

Choose the utility on the basis of the file system u have on your hard drive.

All the best!

Salvager.
