What to do when there is a data loss?

An unexpected or accidental loss of data present in the storage media is data loss. When there is a sudden or unexpected data loss there are some steps to be followed.

  1. Restore utilities must not be run on the disk as these utilities may make the problem even more worst and may cause difficulty in recovering the lost files.
  2. The damaged hard drive must not be repaired or experimented by the user.
  3. Once there is hard disk failure work must not be continued, as it may lead to less chances of recovering files.
  4. The system must be equipped with proper Anti-Virus Software so that the system is not infected by virus and leads to data loss.
