What is NTFS?
NTFS stands for New Technology File System. NTFS file system was first
introduced in Windows NT , its main feature is that it stores the name,
size, location and other details of the file as a piece of data in a table
so that the data can be accessed easily.
NTFS cannot be accessed by other operating systems like DOS. It provides
reliability and more security when compared to other methods of organizing
and accessing files. NTFS also provides file encryption and permission
for users can be set at file level instead of folder level.
