What is meant by MTBF?

MTBF stands for Mean Time Between Failure signifies how long a set of devices last before failure. It describes the reliability of the device before failing.

MTBF evaluation is usually made in hours and it specifies how long a hard disk works before failing. For electronic products it is assumed that during their life period the parts fail at higher rates this is represented by MTBF.
