What is computer virus?

Computer virus is a software program written intentionally to obstruct the working of the computer, delete files, replicates itself and spread to the memory of the computer so that when a program is executed even the virus executes. It is a small piece of executable code or document, which acts on the infected machines, and spreads to other machines.

A virus has the efficiency to work on its own even when the user does not want it to work. It corrupt files and deletes the data present in the memory of the computer.
