What are the various methods of
back-up?
Back-up is the process where the data is stored in another media for
prevention from data loss. These methods are:
- Full Back up:
Complete back up is taken of the computer this includes all drives,
directories and files.
- Incremental Back up:
Back up is taken for only those files which have changed since the last
back up done.
- Differential Back up:
Back up of only those files are taken which have changes since the last
full back up. This usually helps when it is important to have new version
of files. New version files often over writes the old version files
when the same tapes or cd’s are used for back up.
