I accidentally re-formatted my RAID
volume(s) - can data still be recovered?
The data can be recovered inmost of the failure cases, but the recovery
depends on the volume being formatted. The re-formatting through the system
will re-establish the logical volume quickly. A controller level format
only overwrites the array information and leaves the original data intact
in the array. It depends entirely on the user the utility and type of
format used.
